Christina was destined for the hair Industry, born into a family of hairdressers. Salon life started at the early age of 11 years old, sweeping floors and folding towels in one of her fathers three salons. Christina officially entered the industry 29 years ago, for the first nine years of her career she was focused on building a successful business behind the chair, while also traveling through North America to train with top industry leaders and programs.
Christina knew advancing her skills and education was a very important factor for the success of her career but also fed her passion and love for hair. She spent 10 years of her career as the Education Director for one of the top salons in Edmonton and was also brought on as the Lead Educator for her distributor.
In 2009 Christina went on to compete in the World Style Contest at the WWHT Berlin, Germany and won for “Best In Colour.” This was a very proud moment in her career. For the next three years she had the honour of working with amazing Hairdressers, traveling the world and doing colour on stages across North America, Paris and London.
In 2013 her vision became a reality when Christina Dominelli Salon opened its doors. Christina is very passionate on creating great leaders in the industry, her focus being mentoring and educating for the next generation of Hairdressers.
In December of 2021 Christina decided she would close the doors to the salon, it was a hard decision but she knew it was time. The industry has changed so much and wanted to focus solely on the love of her craft. In January 2022 she opened a new Studio, CD HairStudio, where she works with a part-time assistant in a beautiful private setting. Still located on 124th street, her Studio is on the second floor of the beautifully restored Substation 600 Building, where she shares the space with PLSHD Nail and Beauty Bar.
When Christina is not running her business or behind the chair “being magical” you will most likely find her running in the river valley, golfing or snuggling with her pups (or any dog for that matter). Dog Lover at heart.

Through our partnership with greencircle salons, we ensure that 100% of our hair, foils, colour tubes, papers, plastics and excess chemicals are recycled and/or repurposed in an environmentally responsible way.
